The game does look more impressive than running in DX9. Is it a next-gen game? I don't think so. If they could get all those improvements to run at the same scale of the first Crysis, then that may be considered next-gen.
Well, we should be happy that we got the update, and the graphics improvements do deliver.
I know how you feel, it's hard to look at Crysis 2 as being a good game without comparing it to the first.
Nah this is good news. I've never seen a video with more than maybe six or seven players on screen at once, had me worried. Good to see it's still 5v5
Man it's been 3 years since they first showed Diablo 3. I don't mind waiting, I'm sure it'll be amazing like all their other games, but I don't even have an idea as to where they are in development.
Are the main team modes (plunder, TDM) still 5v5?
Crysis 2 at some points
Those crysis shots still amaze me to this day...
With Crysis 1, the more you throw at it, the better it looks and the faster it runs.
Crysis 2 was very well optimized for lower-spec computers, but the engine doesn't scale up much for high-end hardware.
People say the first looks better, and it kinda does, given the right hardware.
Sega can you PLEASE make sonic adventure 3?
Gotta agree with you there. The game just got progressively worse with the updates, to the point where the AK (the default weapon for those who don't know) was the only gun you really needed.
What are you talking about?
Uncharted has a major emphasis on platforming. And the shooting mechanics are more reminiscent of MGS4/MGO than gears, in my opinion.
Just because if they were to make more Uncharted games, it doesn't mean they're necessarily "milking" the franchise.
...If that's what you were implying by mentioning those two games, of course.
very good.
@Nukacola
60 frames important for shooters? Which is why 95% of them run at 30 frames right?
I found this to be a bit funny...
"it’s [Battlefield] simply a AAA title with high quality graphics"
As if a AAA title with great graphics is easy to come by.
Crysis 2 is the console graphics king?
I doubt it, there's still WAY too many people that still play WoW for Blizzard to make it free
720p @ 30 frames is fine. Most shooters, including Bad Company 2 run at these specs and no one ever complained.
But some are now for some reason...
DICE hasn't said anything negative about call of duty. It's really just EA's pr.
